At Postern, the Project Manager oversees the end-to-end needs of marketing projects, our clients, and the Postern team executing them. They are responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of projects and services for a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. They work with external clients, internal team members, contractors, and vendors while reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager. 

Postern has a hybrid office environment (3 days in the Frederick, Maryland based office and 2 days remote). Because we meet our clients where they are, sometimes that requires team members to be in the office more than 3 days a week, if in-person meetings or other activities are required.  We commit to understanding their industry, business, audience, and goals to strategically and creatively connect them with their customers. During the first 6 months onboarding phase, full-time in the office is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating, planning, and managing projects and tasks within a project management software from beginning to end (including creating production schedules, assigning team members based on skill, expertise, and availability, and setting up budgets.
  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships and deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Coordinating projects and services for multiple clients simultaneously
  • Organizing project assets
  • Managing feedback and requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Attending and participating in client and internal meetings, both in-person and virtually
  • Scheduling and planning internal and external meeting agendas, status updates, retrospectives, and follow-up needs
  • Plans for, monitors, and mitigates project risk to ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Developing an understanding of account inner workings and client relationships
  • Participate in sales hand-off meetings new business meetings, proposal development, and internal and client presentations
  • Be the liaison between a client and the creative team executing the contracted deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with the internal and external team members, managing alignment on project scope, objectives, and deliverables and escalate conversations internally and externally when necessary
  • Manage and delegate project tasks effectively to ensure deadlines are met 
  • Development of accurate reporting needs including project productivity, profitability, and billing reports
  • Proactively seek feedback from clients to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for improvement, fostering long-term relationships and driving client retention

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience as a project manager in a marketing agency setting, account manager or similar role
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content management, public relations and social media marketing
  • Experience in communicating with and presenting to clients, written and verbal required
  • Past experience working in project management software, such as Teamwork, Monday, or Asana
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment; the ability to make informed decisions on a tight timeline 
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple, simultaneous, varied assignments and meet tight deadlines, while providing a consistent level of quality and accuracy
  • Expertise in Google Business Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Excellent attention to detail
