Frederick, MD (September 15, 2020) — Postern’s publishing brand of the business, Postern Publishing, has officially launched Maryland Road Trips, the first travel publication dedicated to road travel across the state.
Whether you plan to travel by car, RV, or motorcycle, Maryland Road Trips is sure to spark a desire to hit the open road. Each month, the new, online publication will offer exciting travel experiences, that includes both beloved Maryland destinations, activities, and attractions as well as ones found off the beaten path. Maryland Road Trips will also include one-of-a-kind road trip itineraries, travel experiences, and travel tips–so, if you’re daydreaming about your next trip, in the planning stage, or you simply want to be spontaneous and jump into the car, Maryland Road Trips has a something for you. And, you don’t have to be a Maryland native to enjoy a Maryland road trip.
“With Maryland Road Trips, we’ve identified an emerging trend in travel due to COVID-19,” said Emily Dorr, Owner, Postern. “But road trips have been around as long as there’s something great to see and a car to get us there. As Marylanders, we’re passionate about the great experiences our state has to offer and we want to share that with our neighbors. Maryland really does have it all, geographically speaking, from mountains, forests, and lakes, to beaches and bays—and there’s so much to do and see on your way from one to the other, and from season to season.”
Experience a trip where you’ll make memories with loved ones that last a lifetime, whether that’s a weekend discovering Baltimore’s culinary and beverage scene, traversing the state to learn the history of lighthouses, kayaking to explore Mallows Bay and its “largest shipwreck fleet in the Western Hemisphere”—or making an entire week of it and combining all three.
Postern Publishing is uniquely positioned to publish Maryland Road Trips because of the expansive experience their core team has marketing for the travel and hospitality industry, as well as their experience producing visitor guides throughout Maryland for multiple counties. Dorr and the Postern Publishing team understand what motivates people to travel, and plan to showcase the aspects of Maryland that will spark excitement.
The publication also aims to support Maryland’s travel, lodging, and tourism industries, which have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, through features, advertising, and promotions. Maryland Road Trips hopes to encourage exploring everything Maryland has to offer, including hotels and campgrounds that have taken a hard hit, through relevant and engaging articles.
“No matter what kind of traveler you are, you can build a road trip that’s just right for you,” adds Dorr. “And, there will always be new places to discover, so you’ll never run short of something new to see and do.”
